Artwork: The Pain We Seek

Why do we return to pain, even when we long for peace?
Perhaps because suffering becomes a language we learn before we ever discover our own voice. We carry old wounds through our lives, disguising them as love, strength, sacrifice, or purpose. We fight what is immense with fragile weapons, while the heaviest burdens remain silent, hidden beneath layers we paint over but never erase.
The deepest scars are often the ones we inflict on ourselves—not out of cruelty, but from the hope that enduring pain might finally transform it into meaning. Yet the tears beneath every veil remind us that what is concealed is never truly gone. Healing begins not when the pain disappears, but when we stop mistaking it for who we are.
Artwork The Pain We Seek portrays this path in an uniquely surreal / fantasy style.
